Finance and Payroll Assistant

37 hours per week, 40 weeks a year (term time plus 2 weeks)
Grade 6: £19,945 to £22,021
Actual annual salary £17,486 to £19,306

The Gallery Trust, a Special Multi Academy Trust based in Oxford, wishes to recruit a Finance and Payroll Assistant to provide finance and payroll support to academies within The Gallery Trust.

You will be based in the Trust’s Central Services Team, working in an experienced and effective team. You will liaise with colleagues in member schools across the county and will demonstrate thorough attention to detail, a methodical and flexible approach to all areas of your role, with an ability to work to deadlines. You will use specialised software and Microsoft Excel to promote the effective day-to-day operation of the finance and payroll function – data entry is an important aspect of this role.

Previous work experience in a finance or payroll role would be an advantage but is not essential. You will be customer focused and approachable.

Finance and Payroll Manager

Grade 10: Actual annual salary: £30,507 to £32,878
37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year
29 days annual leave entitlement to be taken during school holidays (plus 8 bank holidays)

The Gallery Trust, a Special Multi Academy Trust based in Oxfordshire, wishes to recruit a Finance and Payroll Manager to work in the Trust’s Shared Services Team.

You will be responsible for finance and payroll duties, undertaking operational and transactional tasks, and will have experience of working in finance and ideally, also in payroll. You will take a methodical, flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work, demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and a thorough approach to all tasks.

You will liaise with a range of colleagues in the Trust schools across the county, and will play a vital role in ensuring that we continue to meet our statutory responsibilities and deliver an effective and efficient service.

Trust Pastoral Support Workers

Grade 10: £30,507 to £32,878 pro rata per annum
Actual Salary £23,776 to £25,624 depending on experience
33 hours a week, term time, plus 5 inset days (39 weeks a year)

The Gallery Trust is recruiting for 3 Pastoral Support Workers who will work across the academies in the Trust, meeting the pastoral and behavioural needs of students throughout our community of SEND schools in Oxfordshire. Secondment opportunities will also be considered.

The Trust has three member Academies: Iffley Academy, Oxford: Bardwell School, Bicester: Bloxham Grove Academy, Bloxham, and also runs a resource base near Banbury. Three additional special schools, based in Oxford and Witney, will join the Trust later this year. The Board of Trustees is submitting an application to the Department for Education to open a new free special school in Didcot.

You will demonstrate a high level of flexibility and will welcome the opportunity of working in the different academies in the Trust. You will be capable of establishing a rapid rapport with colleagues and students, and will relish the opportunity to extend your skills and experience in SEND.
